Rewriting?

I’m really dissatisfied with my most recent story, “What Could Have Been or Still Be” (story is on Literotica.com, free to read but it does contain explicit sex so you have been warned), so much so that I’m seriously considering re-writing it. I re-read it last night, made some notes, etc., which was why I was up late last night.

While I like the characters (Red and Wolf), and they have some good exchanges, the story as a whole has an unfinished feel to it. I think I rushed through it too quickly, concerned more about the “submit by” deadline as opposed to the quality of the work. I’ve re-read it several times since it went life and I cringe more and more every time I do and I rarely go back to my stories like I have this one.

I will leave the story “as is” on Literotica; I’m not going to disturb it. The “revised” version (maybe I’ll call it the “Author’s Preferred Version” as that phrase seems popular) I’ll post here, sans the sex scene.

When will all this happen? Right now I’m working on an entry for Literotica’s Halloween contest. Once I complete and get it submitted, then I’ll go back to this story. I already have an idea of what I’ll change. I may even work on snippets when the desire arises.

Now back to whatever it was I was doing!
